Bare Life Dandelion Tea Mocha
Cafe-style Drinks
Many of my fondest memories of socializing before having food allergies is getting a cafe-style beverage with a friend. While it is tough for for those who cannot have drinks at cafes, there is good news! We can make them at home AND there is a really yummy hot cocao mix that comes in single serving sizes for when we do want to meet friends at a cafe or want to make a semi-homemade cafe-style beverage.
Today’s recipe is for a coffee-free mocha. Okay, I hear you coffee-lovers: “Why would I want a mocha without coffee?” Good question. I have some answers:
Maybe you want a mocha late night and you don’t want it to interfere with your sleep.
Maybe you used to drink coffee, but are no longer able to do so and you want a drink that tastes like coffee.
Maybe you want to share a mocha with your favorite little person or people, but you don’t want the negative effects of coffee on said child’s / children’s young system(s).
Maybe you want to enjoy the medicinal properties of dandelion tea and want to dress its flavor up a bit.
Or maybe you like to experiment with different beverages and you want to give this one a shot.
No matter what your reason, this version of mocha is delicious and can be enjoyed hot, iced or even blended for a frappe drink. One of my favorite aspects of enjoying dandelion teas is that you can buy it raw and roast it to one’s desired doneness.
