Food Processor Maple Chocolate Fudge
(Originally published on 5 Dec 2015 at https://CornFreeHippie.com)
Fudge is such a staple dessert around the holidays, but often it is loaded with sugar and made using diary milk. This version is a simple free of diary version that is also free of nuts and processed sugars. Not only is the ingredient list simply, but so is the method of bringing theme together.
Ingredients
½ cup coconut oil (or ¼ cup each coconut oil & palm shortening)
½ cup cacao powder (raw, unsweetened)
¼ (- ½) cup maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla powder (optional)
Ingredients
Place all ingredients in food processor pulsing until smooth & well mixed.
Line a small loaf pan, shallow bowl or plate with parchment paper.
Spread fudge evenly in chosen container.
Chill in freezer or fridge until firm.
Revmove from freezer or fridge & cut into small squares by scoring.
Serve cold as they become soft quickly.
Notes: These should last about 10 days, but if your household is like mine, they won't last more than 2.
This makes a wonderful frosting when straight out of the food processor.
